Farm Gate

Available for over a year

In a speech entitled 'Delivering a Green 'Brexit'', Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Michael Gove, has outlined his wish to maintain farm subsidy payments as long as farmers agree to schemes that incorporate elements to protect the environment. Barclay Bell of the Ulster Farmers' Union says his members have already been discussing ways to deliver farm subsidies just to farmers who farm in an environmentally sustainable and efficient way.
