A terminally ill student has been rewarded with a degree for his “relentless drive”. 28 year old Dennis Newlove is originally from Ghana and has throat cancer. He cannot speak because of the illness. The Northampton University graduate studied Health studies and Social Care, and was given his own surprise graduation ceremony at the Cynthia Spencer hospice. Sindy Banga is a Senior Lecturer at the University, and his tutor for a dissertation. She speaks to BBC reporter Suki Somal about the achievement in the following interview
