Former F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has spoken about the sport’s new owners at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Talking to 5 live Formula 1's Tom Clarkson, Ecclestone said: "I've been upgraded from chief executive to a much higher position. It's so high, I can't even see what's going on. "The last thing they need is me to have any input because they want to change things, and they know I would have changed them before if I thought they needed changing. "They believe I haven’t done a very good job and they want to do a better job and they don’t need any help from someone who hasn’t done a good job." Ecclestone, 86, who had been in charge for nearly 40 years, was removed from his position running Formula 1 as US giant Liberty Media completed its $8bn (£6.4bn) takeover of the sport. This clip is from 5 live Sport on Sunday. 16 April 2017.
