“Two hundred years from now, there will be new branches of civilisation on Mars”

We Are the Martians

Available for over a year

If we start sending humans to Mars in the coming decades, new branches of human civilisation will be flourishing on the Red Planet, with their own dialects, cultural traditions and histories. This is the thinking of Robert Zubrin. Mr Zubrin is an aerospace engineer and President of the Mars Society. His and colleagues Mars Direct proposal now forms the basis of both Nasa’s and SpaceX’s plans to get people to and from the Red Planet. Image credit: SpaceX
