Mum and daughter on early-onset periods and life without a TV. Sue raised both her daughters on her own in a tiny flat in Morecambe when her husband left her, and their unorthodox upbringing bred an independence and love for the great out doors. Recently the thirty five year old Elspeth has undergone treatment for cancer and she's now in remission. Doing things differently and in her own time has sometimes proved perplexing for a world that likes things in neat pigeonholes.. . . with often hilarious results.
