If the value of a country's currency is a measure of confidence in its economy, then Turkey is in trouble. The Turkish lira is the world's worst performing currency so far this year. It's all a far cry from not too long ago when Turkey was the economic star of the Middle East. Selin Girit reports from Istanbul, where retailers are struggling to keep their businesses afloat, and we speak to Atilla Yesilada, an economist and political consultant with Global Source Partners in Istanbul, about how President Erdogan's politicisation of the country's economic woes is adding to the problem.
