Moroccan Actor Who Fled for Her Life

Outlook

Available for over a year

Moroccan actor Loubna Abidar had to flee her home after appearing in a film in which she played a sex worker. She tells Matthew Bannister what her life has been like since then. In the mountain ranges of western Mongolia, the Kazakh people are still following a unique and spectacular tradition: they go hunting with golden eagles. Among them is a 13-year-old girl called Aisholpan Nurgaiv. Director Otto Bell has made a film about her story. Loretta Mayer from America was working in a highly paid job in business when, out of the blue, she was hit by tragedy when her friend died of a heart attack. She then went on to make a remarkable scientific breakthrough. Pratima Sherpa from Nepal has a passion for golf. She practices every day at the Royal Nepal Golf Club in Kathmandu. The BBC's Surendra Phuyal went there to meet her. Photo Credit: Lionel Bonaventure AFP Getty Images.
