Prime Minister Theresa May is visiting India for her first big non-European visit. She is hoping to strengthen economic ties between the two countries in discussions with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India officials say British immigration restrictions on workers and students from India could have a negative effect on trade between the two countries. Sunil Khilnani is Director of the King’s India Institute at Kings College in London, and in the following interview speaks to BBC presenter Kaval Vaseer about the importance of the visit
