Man v Fat Football, where Losers win

Not by the Playbook

Available for over a year

At the start of this year, a new football league launched exclusively for men classed as 'obese' according to the World Health Organisation's criteria. The five-a-side league, based in the English Midlands, was due to run for 14 weeks, with teams rewarded not only for goals scored, but also for weight lost. That League has become one of the most successful weight-management schemes ever, with 95% of its players losing weight. Man v Fat Football was Andrew Shanahan's idea. He'd been trying to lose weight himself, but found the majority of schemes were aimed at women, which wasn't helping men like him. Photo (Credit - Getty Images)
