Maintenance is far from routine at the historic Nab tower lighthouse

Julian Clegg

Available for over a year

What's the most difficult light bulb you've ever changed? One that requires ladders on the landing. Maybe the headlamp in the car that requires a mechanic for an hour. Or a fiddly little LED in the kitchen? Well spare a thought for those for whom changing a lamp can mean a spending a whole day being battered by the elements out at sea. BBC Radio Solent reporter Neil Sackley spent the day with one of the engineers from Trinity House, on a maintenance visit to the historic Nab tower lighthouse.
