Football could return to a long lost mining village which was birthplace to the iconic Liverpool manager, Bill Shankly. Glenbuck in Ayrshire produced more than 50 professional footballers within just a few decades. The village was depopulated with the demise of coalmining. But as ‘The Cradle of Football’ reveals, plans are underway to revive the game there.
