Jane and Ann met when Ann called the Sobs organisation (Survivors of Bereavement through Suicide) and asked if she could speak to a fellow mum who had a lost a child to suicide. She was put in touch with Jane who volunteers for Sobs and their 4 hour initial conversation was the start of an incredibly close bond. Jane lost her son Mark nine years ago after he had battled depression for ten years. Ann lost her son James nearly seven years ago after what she now recognises as a deeper depression than they or James realised. They started their conversation by recalling that first phone call.
