Trafficking Of Women In Moldova

Everywoman

Available for over a year

Moldova, Europe's poorest country, is plagued by the sex trafficking of women, with desperate Moldovan women being exploited by traffickers, ending up in brothels abroad. Lilia Forever is the film that's been made to highlight this. The show travels to Modova to meet 16-year old Galena, kidnapped and forced into prostitution. Also on the programme: Live music from the Chinese lute (Peepa) played by musician Cheng Yu. Plus, how regional - and even national - accents can be easily mistaken.
