Philip Pullman - 'Everyone is being paid except the author'

Philip Pullman, author of the "His Dark Materials" trilogy, has resigned as a patron of the Oxford Literary Festival over their failure to pay guest speakers. Pullman said he could no longer be a patron of a Festival which did not pay authors for their time.
