The Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal began seventy years ago today, on trial, men accused of murdering more than a million civilians. At 27 years old, Benjamin Ferencz was the youngest member of the prosecuting team and is the only surviving member. He's been telling PM about his experiences, some of which were not pleasant, but he spoke first about how his upbringing in New York helped lead him to a life in the law.
