Bakery owners Sam and Anna Luntley

Dream Job

Available for over a year

Sam and Anna Luntley are the husband and wife team behind the small and independent Bakery47, serving breads, cakes and pastries to customers on Glasgow's south side. Bakery47 was founded in January 2013, with the shop opening in February 2015. Sam and Anna tell Bryan how their ‘dream job’ began in their own kitchen and grew through word of mouth in the community. As well as including a couple of recipes, they reveal why early morning is their favourite time of day and how they make a bakery deep-clean more enjoyable. From Princess Dinosaur birthday cakes to almond croissants, in a conversation guaranteed to make mouths water, they describe the sheer pleasure of baking and why, for them, having cake or fresh bread for dinner can ‘turn the world around’.
