Life Before Birth - Part 3

Health Matters

Available for over a year

A look at premature birth, when a baby is born before 36 weeks gestation. Preterm birth is normally a result of an issue with the mother's health or an infection in the womb which means the baby needs to be born quickly, however many preterm births are inexplicable. Doctors believe a history of preterm birth or a multiple pregnancy can be a risk factor.
