Tammas is a 14-year-old composer from West Yorkshire. He also plays piano and organ and is a regular accompanist of school and church choirs. Tammas has been composing since the age of five and has had pieces workshopped or performed by the BBC Singers, members of the Aurora Orchestra and the Chetham’s Lower School Choir. Mechanical Passion, two short pieces based on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, were performed by soprano Miriam Allan and Aurora Orchestra, conducted by Nicholas Collon at a Proms Extra event at the Royal College of Music on 28 August 2015.
