From Tuesday 30 June 2015, the BBC World Service will no longer be broadcast on 90.3 FM in Abu Dhabi. It has come as a shock to its audience who have relied on the service for 12 years. Simon Kendall, the head of business development for the World Service, explains why the decision has been taken and which alternative mediums are still available to listeners in Abu Dhabi. And in recent weeks, users of the BBC World Service’s podcast system have had difficulties accessing their favourite downloads. Rajan Datar speaks to Bethan Jinkinson, the digital editor for the World Service, to find out what was causing the problem.
