‘My clients… want some form of justice’ – Janner complainant lawyer

Today

Available for over a year

The Lawyer representing three men who say they were sexually abused as children by the former Labour MP Lord Janner says they are to seek a review of the decision not to prosecute him. “My clients want their day in court, they want to be heard, and they want some form of justice,” said “At the moment they’re not getting it.” The Director of Public Prosecutions announced Lord Janner, 86, would not be charged, despite sufficient evidence to bring a case, because of his dementia. The ex-MP has denied any wrongdoing. The CPS Victims Right to Review Scheme allows a complainant to request a charging decision be reconsidered.
