Lance Armstrong crash: what happened?

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

A reporter describes how he discovered Lance Armstrong is being charged with failing to report an accident after crashing into two parked cars in Aspen and allowing his girlfriend to take the blame. Chad Abraham, reporter at the Aspen Daily News, says Lance Armstrong's name "jumped out" at him on an arrest sheet. At first, it's reported that Lance Armstrong's girlfriend Anna Hansen took the blame so her name would not attract attention. Lance Armstrong is facing "minor" charges of leaving the scene of an accident without reporting it to the police and driving too fast for conditions. This clip is originally from 5 live Breakfast on February 4th 2015.
