Sportshour Review 2014: FA Cup Hero

Not by the Playbook

Available for over a year

Someone will make themselves a club legend when they score the winning goal in the FA Cup final in May. In 1968 that man was Jeff Astle, but just 30 years later he had absolutely no memory of that fantastic achievement and in 2002 he died of an 'industrial disease' - football had played a direct part in his dementia and death. We heard from Jeff’s widow Laraine Astle.
