Animal Rescue: Allyson and Sarah

The animals help the staff at the rescue centre as much as the people help the animals. Sarah is the centre manager and looking after the animals is her escape from life and her security blanket, and for volunteer Allyson the animals are substitutes for the children she never had. Situated high up on the fells near Shap it can be a struggle to get there in the Winter, and they rely heavily on the support of their volunteers. But it's a real team effort up at the rescue, and whatever the weather, or time of the year, the animals always come first.
