Paul and Pam McCann

A Life More Ordinary

Available for over a year

This year the Scottish Charity 'Enable Scotland' Celebrates its 60th Year, they have been actively campaigning for a better life for Children and adults who have learning disabilities, supporting them to live, work, and take part in their communities – basically trying to help them to reach their highest potential, whatever that may be. It's quite normal and reasonable to assume that two people who are in love and choose to live together would want to get married, but what happens if one or both have learning disabilities? Clare English met with Paul and Pam in their Helensburgh home to hear how they faced years of resistance to their relationship. They explain just what love and marriage have meant to them.
