KY3 0TZ - Hawkcraig Point, Aberdour in Fife Hawkcraig at Aberdour in Fife was the location of the hydrophonetraining station, HMS Tarlair. Men at the statuion were taught to use hydrophones to detect the noise of a new menance - enemy submarines. There both land and ship-based hydrophones and the training the men received was exported across the globe.
