4 year old Kyle can walk after life-changing surgery

5 Live Drive

Available for over a year

Earlier this year we brought you the story of Kyle and Abigail, two children with different illnesses, who live just a few miles from each other. Abigail Williams has incurable Batten disease, which affects her mobility and senses. Her parents raised more than £22,000 to send her to America for stem cell treatment, but she was too ill to travel. They decided to give the money to Kyle Weaver who they'd read about in a local paper, who has cerebral palsy and couldn't walk. The money has now paid for life-changing surgery in America to enable him to walk. Our reporter Lucy Grey's went to see Kyle and his parents at their home in Conwy in North Wales.
