The time we have: Kate and Chris

The Listening Project

Available for over a year

Kate has just celebrated her 32nd birthday, it's a day she wasn't sure she'd ever see. At the age of 29 she was diagnosed with a rare cancer. She has lived with her terminal condition ever since. Her first round of chemotherapy - or "poisoning" as she called it made her so ill she decided to stop her treatment part way through and get on with living her life. She returned to work as a Doctor at a local hospital and for the past 18 months has lived a fairly normal life with husband Chris. They travelled and ticked off lots of "bucket wish" events. A ride on the Orient Express, renewing wedding vows, a second honeymoon. But the cancer has come back - without treatment she's been told she might not live till Christmas - so she's about to embark on a new round of Chemo. She wanted to sit down and talk to husband Chris about her treatment and their future.
