The Battle of Britain museum

A stately home which was the heart of fighter command during the Battle of Britain opens as a museum today. Bentley Priory, in north west London, was home of the female fighter controllers, known affectionately as the Beauty Chorus. They were wartime members of the Womens' Auxiliary Air Force, and played a crucial role identifying, and intercepting Luftwaffe bombers. To tell us more about the Beauty Chorus and the role the Bentley Priory played in the Battle of Britain is 2nd World War historian, James Holland.
