As part of Radio 2's Voice Week, listener Simon Kaufman introduces Vanessa Feltz's Word Of The Day. Sisyphean – meaning an endlessly futile or laborious task. The word derives from the name Sisyphus, who in Greek mythology was punished for chronic deceitfulness by being made to push uphill a rock, watch it roll back down again, and repeat this action forever.
