Talking cobs... well, cob walls

Ben Jackson on BBC Radio Leicester

Available for over a year

You can often tell which bit of the country you're in just by what the local buildings are made out of. There was always a tendency to build from what was to hand and, at it's most basic, people built from the soil around them with mud or so called cob walls. It's a fast disappearing art, but one who restores cob walls is Anthony Goode. BBC Radio Leicester's Ben Jackson met him at his home in Slawston in front of a wall full of photographs of some of his work.
