Janet Morrison from Jamaica won the English as a first language category, in the BBC World Service's International Radio Playwriting Competition with her play The Fisherman. It's set in a sleepy Jamaican fishing village, where an elderly couple try to shelter their grandchildren from the increasing threats that are coming in from the sea. Their innocence however, can only be secured for so long.
