Partners Sylvia and Alison talk with their friend Jenny, who is also a lesbian, about their thirty year battle to have their sexuality accepted. Sylvia and Alison met in 1991 and became civil partners in 2006, just a couple of years after civil partnership became legal in the United Kingdom. This change in the law was monumental for the trio. But as young lesbians coming out in the 1970s, they faced rejection by friends, family, colleagues and society in general.
