Husband and wife Ranjit and Sara met in Oxford in 1955 when they were both 22. Ranjit had just graduated having read Law at Christ Church college, Oxford and Sara was a debutante who was working as a waitress at the 'La Roma' coffee shop. Here they fondly remember their courtship and how they fell in love over a summer spent in Port Meadow in Oxford. But when Ranjit left for London, it seemed as if the relationship might be over before it could begin.
