What is the value of books?

Front Row

Available for over a year

Front Row’s Mark Lawson gathers together a panel of authors, publishers, and booksellers at Harrogate Crime Writing Festival to debate the merits and disadvantages of the e-book. The panel debate whether books should be available to download for free or at very low prices and the value of the physical book. Author Stephen Leather is happy to give away his books for free if it leads readers to buy his back catalogue, while bookseller Patrick Neil feels the physical book can still appeal. Other contributors include author Steve Mosby, literary agent Philip Patterson and Ursula Mackenzie, Chair of Publishers Association.
