Edd Kimber’s love of baking began in childhood. His mum would often get the mixing bowl out and teach him how to bake. He remembers standing on a stool at Christmas being encouraged to help cut out the pastry for the mince-pies. After unfulfilling office jobs, he decided to pursue his real passion, and applied for the BBC Two series The Great British Bake Off in 2010, where from 4 000 applicants he was crowned 'Britain’s Best Amateur Baker'.
