Cybernetics: Kevin and Irena

The Listening Project

Available for over a year

Ten years ago Kevin - a professor of Cybernetics at Reading University - had a chip implanted into his arm and connected to his nervous system - allowing him to control a number of things electronically - lights, doors...even a robotic arm. He and his wife Irena were also linked up, with a simpler device implanted into her arm, so that they could communicate electronically. They sat down together for the Listening Project to talk about the impact this extraordinary experiment has had on their relationship.
