In 2002 a paralysed woman, known as Miss B, was allowed to die in a London hospital. She had gone to the High Court to win the right to have a ventilator which kept her alive, switched off. The judge in the case was Baroness Elizabeth Butler Sloss. Photo of Baroness Butler Sloss, Press Association.
