Ivory Coast: A Family Divided

Ivory Coast was once one of the most prosperous nations in Africa - but it was brought to its knees earlier this year by post-election violence. An estimated 3,000 people died and many more lost their homes or businesses when supporters of the incumbent president Laurent Gbagbo and his political rival Alassane Ouattara fought for control of the country. Eventually, Mr Gbagbo was forced to concede defeat and Alassane Outtara took up the post as President.
