The Strand

Available for over a year

The best of the world's arts, film, music, literature and music brought to you every day. In today's Strand, a special extended interview with Salman Rushdie. His latest novel "Luka and the Fire of Life" was written for his young son, Milan, and tells the story of young boy who has to steal the Fire of Life to save his father. As he tells Harriett, the new book also reflects Rushdie's dislike of censorship on the grounds that something might cause offence, and, more surprisingly, reveals his approval of computer games -- not the position of most authors.
