Rab Wilson: Accent of the Mind

A Kist o Wurds

Available for over a year

Over in Ayrshire, at the “Burns an A’ That” Festival, Liam Logan heads to Poosie Nancy’s pub in Mauchline, to meet leading Scots poet, Rab Wilson. Rab talks to Liam about how Lallans is still spoken in New Cumnock, and discusses his new book, ‘Accent of the Mind: poems chiefly in the Scots language'. Rab has translated four of Horace’s Satires into Scots (included in the new book) - and has also translated the rest which he hopes to publish as a pamphlet. Rab tells Liam more about his interest in Horace. (Broadcast: 14 Jun 2006)
