We hear an extract from James Orr’s Donegore Hill. The poetry of James Orr is studied as part of a course at Queen’s University called ‘Poets of Liberty, Love and Life’. Course organiser, Dr Carol Baraniuk, tells Liam Logan about her interest in Thomson, Orr and Campbell who were influenced by Scots poets of the 18th century who wrote in their own vernacular style.
