On 4 September 1982, the Lebanese President-elect, Bachir Gemayel was assassinated. The following day, Israeli forces occupied West Beirut, and from 16 to 18 September, the Phalangist militia killed Palestinians in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps. Witness talks to one of the first people to enter the camps after the massacre.
