Do you wanna go 'double-dipping'?

Business Daily

Available for over a year

Is America's economy on the slide, heading for a double-dip recession? Lesley Curwen talks to the President of the American Action Forum think-tank, Douglas Holtz-Eakin, the former chief economic advisor to Republican Presidential candidate John McCain, and to Michael Pento, senior economist at Euro Pacific Capital in New York. Michael Pento says after revised US growth figures, "now we are virtually assured of a double-dip recession". Doug Holtz-Eakin argues the US is still growing, even if it is growing slowly. Plus we hear from country singer Merle Hazard, the stetson-clad alter-ego of Nashville money manager, Jon Shayne, whose lyrics include, "do you wanna go double-dipping, as our wallets take a whipping?". And our technology commentator Jeremy Wagstaff explains how a phone can become a book.
