Asian American Success

Business Daily

Available for over a year

Why do Asian-American children do so well at college? Is it something in their cultural background? Or does discrimination at work mean they try harder? Steve Evans meets Ling-Chi Wang, a Chinese born American who's fought for his rights for forty years. Steve also hears from student Raman Nelakanti and Professor Hazel Rose Markus, a psychologist at Stanford University. She studies East Asian cultures and believes that those parents think the stronger the control, the stronger the love.
