She discovers Tamborito drumming, Musica Tipica and “Decima” music and tries her hand at Salomas (yodeling). Through talking to Dorindo Cardenas, Gustavo Salamin and Yin Carrizo she sees the importance of music in every day life in Panama, from its religious and festival significance to how it takes on political meaning.
