The Nicaraguan president, Daniel Ortega, wants to change the constitution to allow him to stand in the next election in the Central American country. This ambition has been criticised by opposition parties in Nicaragua, who also complained of vote-rigging in last year's municipal elections. Nick Caistor asks whether democracy is under threat in Nicaragua, 30 years after the Sandinista revolution which first brought Mr Ortega to power.
