Sara Mohr-Pietsch with guests, stories and the perfect classical soundtrack this weekend. Sara's guest is the violinist Ray Chen who has redefined what it means to be a classical superstar. Whether it's on concert stages, through his teaching resources or via talking about music and the violin via his social media channels, Ray has reached millions with his magnetic playing and love of people. He's in London to play Korngold's much loved Hollywood infused concerto and pops into the studio to chat to Sara. The Chinese American composer Du Yun won the Pulitzer Prize for music in 2017 for her opera Angel's Bone - a piece uses her eclectic musical style to tell a dark allegory about human trafficking. She talks to Sara about the piece ahead of its UK premiere in Manchester this week with English National Opera. And as our focus on 'Creators' continues - Sara talks to the legendary American folk singer songwriter and activist Peggy Seeger. Now 90 and having written what she calls her "absolutely final album" Peggy chats about how some of her most famous protest anthems were made.
