30 minutes of back to back classical music to help wind down at the end of a busy day. The sap is rising during today's sequence, with a Bach Siciliano, and romances from Khachaturian and Rachmaninov, along with serenades from Mozart's Don Giovanni, and a pair of birds from Purcell's Fairy Queen. Some cinematic lushness perfumes the warming air with Michel Legrand's "Paris violon", whilst Mel Bonis entices us into the forest for an evening stroll. Looking up from earthly pleasures, Rebecca Dale reveals a glimpse of heaven with her ethereal setting of Salve Regina, whilst Percy Grainger's ravishing arrangement of "The Three Ravens" tells the grisly story of a heroic dead knight, who's body is rescued by a deer. Producer: Helen Garrison
