The best folk and acoustic music from Britain and beyond. This week, Mark shares live performances from Celtic Connections 2026. Between 15th January and 1st February, 300 events take place in venues around Glasgow. Winter festival Celtic Connections attracts a brilliant blend of folk and roots acts; some of them will visit the BBC's Pacific Quay studios, and Mark shares a selection of live performances recorded by BBC Radio Scotland. Tonight's featured artists are Kris Drever, Assynt, The Occasionals, Astro Bloc and Emily Smith. Kris premieres a song from his new album, Doing This For Love, and Emily sings a Robert Burns song.
