While presenting degrees and prizes at a university, a government minister shakes the hand of one graduate and finds they are unable to let go. The recipient is a climate change protestor who has now superglued themself to the politician. As if in a three-legged race, they are hop-helped to a backstage area where - as police work out how to free them and spin doctors how to contain the viral publicity for the stunt - the reluctant couple discuss and confront the tensions that have brought them together. But this is no obvious Swampy/Gammon pairing. The politician is in fact pro-green but this is a chance to discuss the two sides of these issues and what voters and politicians are genuinely prepared to give up. A new play by Mark Lawson.
